MOSCOW, November 21 (RIA Novosti) - A Moscow arbitration court of appeal upheld

Tuesday a Moscow Arbitration Court's September 13 decision to reject a suit worth 291.3 million rubles (about $10.8 million) filed by the U.S. mobile phone producer Motorola against Russian company RUS GPS.

In May 2006, RUS GPS publicly accused the U.S. company of patent infringement by using its technology in Motorola's mobile phones. Motorola applied to the court seeking $10.8 million in damages to its business reputation.

Motorola Vice President Scott Offer earlier said the U.S. company is a world leader in creating and protecting intellectual property, and that the alleged patent infringement was totally without merit.
