MOSCOW, November 24 (RIA Novosti) - No one was injured when a Russian passenger jet with 62 people on board made a forced landing in Rostov-on-Don following an engine failure, the Emergency Situations Ministry said Friday.
A ministry spokesman said Flight 411, bound from Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia to Tambov in Central Russia, took off at 8:02 a.m. Moscow time (5:02 a.m. GMT) with 54 passengers and eight crewmembers on board.
"One of its engines failed, and that is why a decision was made to burn up fuel and land. At 9:30 a.m. the plane successfully landed," he said. "No one was hurt."
