MOSCOW, January 9 (RIA Novosti) - The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) said Tuesday the value of its assets grew 37%, year-on-year, in January-November 2006, to 7,881 billion rubles (about $299.3 billion).
The value of the CBR's precious metals assets stood at 63.55 billion rubles (about $2.4 billion), and the value of funds placed among non-residents and securities issued by non-residents was 7,376 billion rubles (about $280 billion) as of December 1, 2006, the Bank of Russia said.
The value of the CBR's loans and deposits equaled 20.75 billion rubles (about $788 million), the value of funds invested in securities reached 312.4 billion rubles (about $11.8 billion), including 294.89 billion rubles (about $11.2 billion) worth of securities issued by the Russian government.
The value of other assets totaled 108.47 billion rubles (about $4.1 billion), the CBR said.
