MOSCOW, February 12 (RIA Novosti) - The foreign ministers of Russia, India and China will discuss the Middle East settlement, and the Iran and North Korea nuclear programs at a February 14 meeting in New Delhi.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said the ministers will also discuss counterterrorism and anti-drug efforts, and the situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as trilateral cooperation.

The spokesman said cooperation between the three nations is not something 'virtual'.

"It is based on the countries' common approaches to the basic issues of world development in the 21st century, on the urge to strengthen democratic principles, on an understanding of the importance of multilateral efforts to maintain strategic stability at the global and regional levels, and on the recognition of the UN's central role in this process," Kamynin said.

Kamynin said there is a growing interest in trilateral contacts on a wide range of issues, including political, academic and business contacts.

In his speech at the 43rd Munich Conference on Security Policy Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the aggregate GDP of India and China in terms of purchasing power parity is more than the U.S. gross domestic product. He said the aggregate GDP of Brazil, Russia, India and China exceeds the European Union's aggregate GDP.

"There should be no doubt that the economic potential of new centers of world growth will inevitably be converted into political influence and strengthen multi-polarity," Putin said.
