MOSCOW, February 21 (RIA Novosti) - Mikhail Mokretsov, the former deputy head of the Russian Federal Tax Service, has been appointed its head, the government press service said Wednesday.
The post of the head of the tax authority had been vacant since Anatoly Serdyukov was promoted to Minister of Defense February 15.
Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov signed a document on Mokretsov's appointment Wednesday, the press service said.
Mokretsov supervised departments administering income and indirect taxes, an analysis and planning department and the Siberian regional tax authority.
