NOVOSIBIRSK, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - According to the prosecutor's office in the Altai Territory, the cause of the explosion at the Altai testing ground may have been a breach of safety rules.
The blast occurred Monday in the city of Biisk in the Altai Territory, south Siberia, on the premises of the Altai research and production center, which produces ammunition and explosives for industrial purposes. The head of the electrical department died, and the department's chief energy technician was injured.
An investigation is underway.
