Samara, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people were killed and 50 injured in a crash that happened while a passenger airliner was making an emergency landing in the southern Russia, an emergency service said Saturday.

The Tu-134, en route from the West Siberian town of Surgut, had a chassis malfunction on approaching the Samara airport, and its body crashed on landing on Saturday morning.

The jet, owned by Siberia-based UTAir, Russia's fifth largest carrier, had 50 passengers and seven crewmen on board.
