MOSCOW, April 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia could raise its oil export duty by more than $40 to $200 per metric ton from June 1, a Finance Ministry official said Wednesday.
The oil export duty will be raised for the first time in the past six months when it was observed to decline reflecting a fall in oil prices.
Alexander Sakovich, deputy head of the ministry's tax and customs policy department, said the oil export duty is adjusted every two months and is based on Russian Urals oil blend prices on world markets.
