MOSCOW, March 16 (RIA Novosti) - Golden Telecom, a leading Russian telecommunications and Internet operator, said Wednesday its US GAAP net profit declined 22.8% year-on-year in 1Q07 to $14.5 from $18.785 million.
Golden Telecom, an independent operator which provides integrated telecom and Internet services in major Russian cities and the Commonwealth of Independent States, a loose association of former Soviet republics, said its consolidated earnings increased 43.6% in the quarter to $178.14 million.
Golden Telecom's key shareholders are Altimo (29%), Telenor (20%) and Rostelecom (11%).
