NOVOSIBIRSK, May 28 (RIA Novosti) - A road accident in the Republic of Tyva in southern Siberia killed nine people, including four children, a spokesman for local law enforcers said Monday.
"The accident took place [in southern Tyva] Sunday," the source said. "Preliminary reports say that the driver of a GAZ minibus failed to control the vehicle when crossing the bridge across a river, sending it into the water."
There were 27 people in the vehicle, the spokesman said.
A criminal case has been opened.
