MOSCOW, June 6 (RIA Novosti) - The Storskog checkpoint on the Russia-Norway border will be the first stop on Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's itinerary as he arrives on a visit to Russia Wednesday.
Later Wednesday Stoltenberg will meet with Yury Yevdokimov, Murmansk Region governor, before setting off for talks with Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov and Norwegian businessmen in Moscow late Thursday.
The negotiations will focus on bilateral cooperation between Russia and Norway in energy, trade, environmental protection, and climate change. The parties will also consider cooperation in the North, since the development of northern regions is a priority for the Norwegian government.
The Norwegian premier will attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.
