MOSCOW, June 21 (RIA Novosti) - A militant was killed in southeast Chechnya in a shootout with local police, and five gunmen were arrested, a local police source said Thursday.
The shootout took place outside a village in the Vedeno district, the source said.
"The militants put up armed resistance and one of them was killed. The body is being identified," he said, adding that no servicemen were injured in the shootout.
