VORONEZH, August 23 (RIA Novosti) - A resident of the central Russian Ryazan Region was left chained up to a metal pipe in a cow milking room for three days, but managed to escape, local police said Thursday.
"A 29-year-old male chained up in a summer milking room of the Mayak agricultural enterprise spent three days in confinement," the police spokesman said.
The resident said the director of a local farm, who claimed the young man stole a tape recorder from his workers, chained him up.
"A criminal case has been started against the farm director on Part 1 of Article 127 of the Russian Criminal Code [illegal deprivation of freedom]," the spokesman said.
