NAZRAN, August 25 (RIA Novosti) - Three people were wounded in a shootout near the central mosque in the largest city of the Russian North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, Nazran, a local law enforcement officer said Saturday.
"The shootout occurred at about 12:30 in Kartoyeva Street, near the central mosque. According to preliminary data, the reason for the incident was a conflict between two groups of young people, during which they opened fire on each other," the officer said
Those wounded were hospitalized, and an investigation is underway.
