MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - Inflation reached 0.1% in August and 6.7% in the first seven months of the year, the head of the Federal Statistics Service said Tuesday.
The Russian government has set an 8% inflation target for 2007, and Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref told President Vladimir Putin Monday that the last three weeks of August saw zero inflation.
The general rise in the price of goods and services was 0.2% in August 2006, and 7.1% in January-August of last year.
