MOSCOW, September 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's investment vehicle Millhouse Capital denied media reports that the tycoon had acquired an Airbus A380, the world's biggest passenger liner.
"These reports are entirely untrue. He is not buying an A380, or almost any of the other items written about in the press," spokesman John Mann said.
French newspaper Le Figaro has cited Airbus as saying that the Chukotka governor and Chelsea FC owner had purchased one of the giant airliners for $300 million, becoming the first individual to buy such a plane for personal use.
Airbus's Moscow office has not commented on the reports. The press secretary of the company in Russia and the CIS, Maria Shlyakhtova, said the company cannot comment such deals unless they are confirmed by the buyer.
Abramovich, whose wealth is estimated by Forbes at $20 billion, already owns Boeing-767, a Boeing-737, a yacht, and a submarine.
