MOSCOW, September 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov will begin his two-day visit to China Thursday.

On Friday Zhukov and Vice-Premier of the Chinese State Council Wu Yi will chair a session of an intergovernmental commission in preparation for a regular meeting between the two countries' prime ministers. On Saturday he will meet with Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao.

Former prime minister Mikhail Fradkov said the 12th meeting of Russian and Chinese premiers is expected to go ahead in Moscow in November.

Zhukov made his last visit to China in November 2006 in preparation for a visit by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov.

After the Fradkov cabinet resigned on September 12, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said China would continue to develop ties with the newly appointed Russian government.
