MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - Robbers intentionally rammed an unemployed Moscow resident's car, shot him, and then drove off in his vehicle, containing about $93,000, Moscow police said Friday.
"The unknown assailants caused a traffic accident with a Honda, shot the driver in the stomach and threw him out of the car," a police spokesman said, adding that the incident had taken place on Thursday night in the north of Moscow.
The spokesman said the hijacked car had contained $92,600 in cash, a registered hunting rifle, and that the total cost of the damages inflicted amounted to 3.2 million rubles (about $128,100).
He added that the wounded driver has been hospitalized and that an investigation is underway.
