MOSCOW, October 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's veterinary watchdog (Rosselkhoznadzor), has banned 28 U.S. plants from importing meat products to Russia, the press service reported on Wednesday.
Five poultry storage enterprises, seven pork production, one pork cold storage firm and 17 poultry plants are included in the list of those meat processing and cold storage plants banned from exporting meat products to Russia.
The watchdog's decision will come into force from November 1, 2007.
