VELIKY NOVGOROD, December 18 (RIA Novosti) - A car ran over a herd of wild boars in northwest Russia's Veliky Novgorod Region, local traffic police said on Tuesday.
Late on Monday, a car travelling at high speed along the Moscow-St. Petersburg highway crashed into a group of boars as the animals were crossing the road. Four boars were killed. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
Over 20 people have been injured in the region in the past two years in accidents involving wild animals, predominantly elks.
