MOSCOW, January 10 (RIA Novosti) - Drug officers arrested three people for drug offenses and seized 25 kilograms (55lbs) of high-quality heroin in the Moscow region, a police source said on Thursday.
The operation was carried out late on Wednesday, at a car park near a shopping mall in the Odintsovo district west of Moscow. Two drug dealers and a buyer were arrested.
The dealers, whose names have not been disclosed, were distributing drugs through well-run channels in Moscow and other Russian regions.
Initial details about the group's activity was obtained from several minor gang members, who were arrested during a raid several months ago, when seven kilograms (15lbs) of heroin was seized.
