MOSCOW, January 11 (RIA Novosti) - VTB's net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards increased 6% year on year to 18.2 billion rubles ($744 million) in 2007, a spokesperson for the state-run foreign trade bank said on Friday.
Russia's second largest bank yielded 17.2 billion rubles of net profit in 2006.
The Central Bank earlier reported that VTB, in which the state holds a 77.47% stake, increased its RAS net profit in the first 11 months of 2007 by 51.2% year on year to 14.8 bln rubles ($600.6 mln).
