ROSTOV-ON-DON, January 31 (RIA Novosti) - A nurse at a south Russian health center accidentally used a rectal bulb syringe to pump peroxide into 17 people after mistaking the substance for water, the center told RIA Novosti.
All recipients of the nurse's treatment at the military health center in Pyatigorsk, in the North Caucasus, have been hospitalized.
"The nurse made a mistake - she poured peroxide in instead of water. But the situation isn't catastrophic, the sufferers could have stayed in the health center, but we decided to take extra measures," a spokesperson for the health center said.
The spokesperson assured that "appropriate measures" will be taken against the nurse.
