Russian woman survives ninth-floor fall
The incident occurred on March 9 the day after International Women's Day, when the 27-year-old woman together with friends and family celebrated the national holiday, which falls on March 8.
"After the party the woman was hanging out of an open window in her friends' room looking down at the street when she fell out, although people tried to grab her," the police spokesman said.
The spokesman added that the woman was believed to be drunk. The ambulance that arrived at the scene examined the women to find she was only bruised.
"She did not suffer concussion or any fractures," Yevgeny Nevzorov added.
Doctors believe that a fall could have been cushioned by washing lines and piles of snow on the ground.
Witnesses were surprised when the woman refused to go to hospital after the incident, and simply dusted herself down and limping slightly returned to the party.
