MOSCOW, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - Police officers have seized around 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of heroin in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Volga Republic of Tatarstan, a police spokesman said.
A total of 6.2 kilograms of heroin was seized from four Kyrgyz nationals in their car during a routine check on Sunday. One of the couriers was a former prisoner.
Later on police officers detained a local businessman after finding 3.4 kilograms of heroin in a Lada car.
