The woman was arrested during a police operation to seal drug supply channels in the port of Holmsk on Wednesday, the source said.

The Russian Far East has become a major international hub for trafficking in drugs and other illegal substances due to the proximity of international borders and the convergence of road, rail, air and maritime transport corridors. Large volumes of drugs produced in Central Asia and the Middle East pass through the Russian region.
The ministry official said there have been a total of 40 drug seizures in Russia in the past 24 hours, including 3.9 kg of heroin, about 3 kg of marijuana, 5 kg of hash and a batch of synthetic amphetamine drugs.
