CHITA, April 22 (RIA Novosti) - Four boys and a girl were injured when an unidentified explosive device went off near a playground in the East Siberian city of Chita, local prosecutors said Tuesday.
The device is believed to have been planted and subsequently detonated by a 13 year-old boy, although the motive for his actions is unknown.
The children, aged between seven and 13, were rushed to hospital with blast-related injuries, the 13 year-old girl was later sent home.
Two boys, who received serious abdominal injuries, are in a critical condition following surgery.
Bomb experts are carrying out an investigation to try and establish the type of explosive used in the device.
