NOVOSIBIRSK, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - A mother, who killed her seven-year-old daughter by throwing her out of a fifth-floor window twice, in southwest Siberia, before jumping herself, has died from her injuries, police said on Thursday.
"The woman died in hospital today. She was admitted in a critical condition," a police spokesman said, adding that investigators found a suicide note in her apartment in Russia's Altai Republic.
After the woman threw her daughter out of the window on Wednesday, she went downstairs to the courtyard to discover the child was still alive. In a bizarre twist she carried her daughter back up to the apartment and threw her out of the window again, before jumping herself. The girl died instantly after the second attempt, while the mother was hospitalized.
Police said the woman had no history of psychiatric illness, and there is no evidence she was drunk when she killed her daughter.
