MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will pay an official visit to Germany on June 5, the Kremlin said Friday.
"The program for the visit includes talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a meeting with Federal President Horst Koehler, representatives of political and business circles and other events," the Kremlin press service said.
At a Kremlin meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on May 14, Medvedev said that Germany is the first European country he planned to visit as Russia's new president.
Medvedev's first foreign visits after his May 7 inauguration were to Kazakhstan and China on May 22-24.
