Five killed in head-on collision in southern Russia

ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 9 (RIA Novosti) - Five people were killed in a road accident in the south Russian republic of Kalmykia, local rescuers said on Wednesday.

A MAN truck collided head-on with a Daewoo Nexia car late on Tuesday, killing the five people in the car immediately.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and received first aid at the crash site.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
