SOCHI, July 19 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 1,602 bikini-clad women from all over Russia gathered on a beach in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Saturday for a Cosmopolitan commercial, breaking last year's record set in Sydney.

Last September 1,010 women lined up to form the word Cosmo on Bondi Beach, creating a new category in Guinness World Records.

In this year's event in Sochi, organizers lined women up to form the website address 'Cosmo.ru'.

The editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan's Russian edition, Alexei Svistunov, told RIA Novosti: "I have brought all necessary documents from Guinness World Record headquarters to register this record."
