MOSCOW, September 1 (RIA Novosti) - Six people have been killed in a car accident in central Russia's Kaluga Region, a local police source said on Monday.
The accident happened on a highway linking Moscow and Ukraine's capital Kiev when an Audi vehicle drove into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with an Oka car, killing the two drivers and four passengers in both cars immediately.
The highway has a reputation of one of the most dangerous and poorly maintained of all Russian roads. In April 2008, a bridge closed for reconstruction collapsed, killing two workers.
