NOVOSIBIRSK, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Federal Security Service officers seized over 80 kg of heroin and 27 kg of hashish in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk, with a total street value of over $3.5 million, an FSB official said Friday.
"This is one of the largest seizures of narcotic substances in Siberia so far this year," Igor Akhremeyev told reporters.
He said the drugs were discovered in a Kamaz truck that arrived from Kyrgyzstan with a cargo of grapes. Two Kyrgyz nationals have been detained.
An investigation is underway.
