MOSCOW, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - Georgia plans to open a museum exposing what Tbilisi calls Russia's acts of aggression in the recent conflict over South Ossetia, the culture minister said on Thursday.

The Georgia Online news portal quoted Nikoloz Vacheishvili, minister of culture, sports and protection of historic monuments, as saying the museum will be opened with the assistance of Lithuanian and Polish specialists.

Vacheishvili told a parliamentary committee that the "Russia's aggression" museum will be housed in the Stalin museum in the city of Gori around 80 km (50 miles) from Tbilisi.

The five-day conflict between Russia and Georgia broke out on August 8, when Georgia attacked South Ossetia in an attempt to bring it back under central rule. Russia recognized the breakaway republic as an independent state along with another rebel region, Abkhazia, on August 26.

Russia accused Georgia of genocide in the conflict. An exhibition on the conflict has been set up in the Central Museum of the Russian Armed Forces in Moscow.
