VLADIVOSTOK, September 26 (RIA Novosti) - Two Russian coast guard vessels from the Far East port of Vladivostok are on their way to South Korea to take part in a joint anti-terror exercise, a regional coast guard official said on Friday.

The joint exercise will take place from September 29 through October 2.

"On Friday, patrol boat Shkiper Gek and the coast guard vessel Korsakov from the Primorye Territory set course for the South Korean city of Seogwipo," said Lt.Col. Natalya Rondaleva, spokesperson for the Federal Security Service Primorye press service.

She said two Russian and three South Korean ships, as well as speedboats and special task forces from both countries, would take part in the exercise.

They will rehearse interaction in fighting crime at sea, pursuit and detention of a vessel seized by terrorists, freeing hostages, rescue at sea, and putting out a fire on a vessel in distress.
