MOSCOW, October 27 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government could cut export duty on crude oil from the current $372.2 to $304-309 per metric ton as of December 1, in line with trends on world oil markets, a government official said on Monday.
"If the Urals blend price averages $55-65 per barrel in the remaining five days, the monitoring price will be $82.87-83.98 per barrel and export duty will amount to $304-309 per metric ton," said Alexander Sakovich, deputy head of the Finance Ministry's customs payment department.
The government adjusts export duty on crude and petroleum products every two months, depending on the price for the Russian benchmark Urals blend on world markets.
Sakovich said the export duty for light petroleum products could drop to $217-220 per ton from the current $263.1 per ton and heavy oil products to $117-119 per ton from the current $141.7 per ton.
