MOSCOW, February 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian police have identified two girls, aged 18 and 19, who were brutally murdered on Sunday west of Moscow, a local police spokesman said on Monday.
The two bodies were found by workers in a drainage ditch in Vostochnoye Tuchkovo, a populated area west of Moscow.
"The murdered [girls] have been identified as two Moldovan nationals who worked at a marketplace in the Moscow Region. Their death was caused by suffocation," the spokesman said, adding that preliminary investigation suggested the girls had also been raped.
Investigators are looking for suspects, and a criminal case has been launched.
