GROZNY, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - A woman in the Russian republic of Chechnya found and handed over to police nearly 171 kg of TNT, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
"The woman found the explosive substance, weighing nearly 171 kg, on the outskirts of her village while leading her livestock to water," Magomed Deniyev said.
An investigation is underway.
Chechnya was ravaged by two separatist wars in the 1990s and early 2000s. Militant attacks remain fairly common in the troubled republic.
