MOSCOW, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian emergencies ministry plane has arrived in Moscow carrying 14 Russian tourists who were injured in a Vietnamese bus crash that left nine Russians dead, a senior health official said on Tuesday.

The accident happened on Friday evening, when a bus carrying 24 Russian tourists and two Vietnamese on a day trip plummeted down a precipice about 50 km (31 miles) from the tourist town of Dalat.

Vladimir Uyba, who heads the Health and Social Development Ministry's medical agency, said two of those injured are children.

Russian medics said that the crash victims, most of whom are from Moscow, were suffering from various injuries, including fractures, bruising and concussion. Four people are reported to be in a serious condition.

The Vietnamese bus driver was among the injured. The tour guide was killed in the crash.

Accident investigators are trying to establish how the fatal crash happened. According to some reports the driver may have clipped a motorcycle, or failed to cope with the mountainous road.

Similar tragedies involving Russian tour groups occurred last December in Israel and Egypt. Twenty-four Russians died in a bus crash near the Israeli Red Sea resort city of Eilat on December 16, and six days later seven Russians were killed near Dahab on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
