Russian, Bulgarian premiers to discuss energy projects in Moscow

MOSCOW, April 26 (RIA Novosti) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev who is arriving in Moscow on a working visit will discuss joint energy projects with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, a source in the Russian government said on Sunday.

The Bulgarian prime minister who will stay in Moscow from April 26 through April 28 is due to meet with his Russian counterpart on Tuesday to focus on key joint energy projects, the source said.

They include the Belene nuclear power plant Russia is building in northern Bulgaria; the South Stream pipeline to bring Central Asian and Russian gas to the Balkans and other European countries; and a pipeline project between Russia, Greece and Bulgaria to pump Russian and Caspian oil from the Bulgarian Black Sea port of Burgas to the Greek Aegean port of Alexandroupolis.
