MOSCOW, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - One person died and eleven others were injured when a bus collided with a truck in the Moscow Region on Saturday morning, the regional traffic police chief said.
"The driver of a passenger bus travelling from Moscow to Serpukhov for some reason crashed into a stationary truck parked at the side of the road," Alexander Tsipkin said, adding that it was light at the time of the accident.
He said that one person had died and 11 people were injured, three of them had been hospitalized with serious fractures.
Emergency services are currently clearing the road of debris and all the victims have been given medical treatment, he said.
An accident investigation is underway to establish the circumstances behind the crash.
