MOSCOW, November 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor are among the 70,000 football fans in Moscow supporting their teams in the World Cup 2010 qualifying match.

The qualifying match kicked off in Moscow at 7:00 pm [16:00 GMT] and the score is presently Russia - Slovenia 1:0.

Earlier on Saturday Putin and Pahor signed a final agreement outside Moscow on building and utilizing the South Stream gas pipeline. Slovenia was the final partner to sign the accord.

"We wanted to sign the agreement before our relations are spoiled after the victory of our team," Pahor said jokingly at the Luzhniki Stadium where the game is being held.

Putin gave his Slovenian counterpart advice not to jump ahead, saying: "The strongest will win and we will welcome that victory."

The South Stream gas project, scheduled to be completed by 2015, is part of Russia's efforts to cut dependence on transit nations. It is a rival project to the EU-backed Nabucco, which would bypass Russia.

The gas pipeline will run through several European territories, including Slovenia, as well as through the Black and Adriatic seas.
