MOSCOW, December 5 (RIA Novosti) - At least 112 people were killed and 130 hospitalized in a fire that broke out late on Friday in the Urals city of Perm, the Vesti TV channel said on Saturday.

The blaze occurred during a firework show, apparently due to a breach of fire safety rules. The cafe burned out almost completely with fire spreading to the area of 400 square meters.

Over 220 people are believed to be inside the cafe when the tragedy occurred.

Some 130 people were injured, at least 85 of them are said to be in critical condition, suffering from severe inhalation burns and carbon monoxide poisoning. A total of 61 people are on a life support breathing machine.
