Russia may send drug police to Afghanistan

Russia offered on Thursday to send police to help fight drug production and smuggling in Afghanistan, the head of the Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS) said.
The offer was made after a second meeting of the US-Russian drug control group.
"As regards our prospects for further cooperation, I have raised with my colleagues the issue of sending Russian officers to coalition coordination centers in Afghanistan," Viktor Ivanov said.
