Some 40 Olympic facilities will be fully completed in the Winter Olympic 2014 host city of Sochi by the end of 2010, and 144 will be under construction, a Russian deputy premier said on Wednesday.
"The number of facilities under construction will triple by the end of this year, to 144," said Dmitry Kozak, Russian deputy prime minister in charge of Olympic construction in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi.
He said that 48 facilities are currently being built, and 40 of them will be completed by the end of this year.
"We have no doubt that the project will be implemented in time and with all due quality," the deputy premier said.
