Over 100 patients were swiftly evacuated from a hospital in the Kemerovo Region in southwest Siberia after a roof collapse, and no one hurt in the incident, the regional emergencies ministry reported on Sunday.
The incident occurred in the early hours on Sunday in the therapeutics division of hospital No. 1 in the town of Belovo when the roof collapsed on an area of 600 square meters, the ministry said.
"The patients, 109 people, and the hospital's 10-member staff who were in the division were promptly evacuated. No one was hurt in the incident," the ministry said.
The regional authorities have set up an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the rood collapse.
A rood collapse at a supermarket of O'Key grocery chain in St. Petersburg on January 25 killed a woman and injured 13 people.
