Police in Western Siberia have detained a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of shooting his sister dead after a row over possession of the TV remote control, investigators said.
Police say the boy shot his 17-year-old sister at point-blank range in the face with a family hunting rifle in the heat of a quarrel. The incident occurred in the Omsk Region village of Zhukovka.
The body's girl was found by her mother when she returned from work.
Investigators say the boy's age mean he will not face criminal charges.
