U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called Russia’s lack of cooperation in efforts to resolve the current political and humanitarian crises in Syria, despite Moscow’s influence with Syrian authorities, “troubling” and “frustrating.”

“It is a very troubling and frustrating situation because the Russians continue to say, oh, they're for humanitarian aid, but then they don't produce any plan that Assad will sign off on,” Clinton told members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday.

"We are doing everything we can think of to influence the Russians and the Chinese, particularly the Russians: they're the ones with the very deep, long-standing relationship with the Assad family, with Syria," she said.

Russia and China have twice vetoed U.N. Security Council resolutions on Syria that they believe could lead to a military operation against Syrian government forces as a repetition of “the Libyan scenario.”

Russia has also opposed calls to establish air corridors in Syria to provide humanitarian aid to civilian population suffering from the consequences of clashes between troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and opposition forces.

Clinton expressed hope that Russia would finally agree to cooperate with the international community as it could be key to resolving “a terrible crisis that demands the entire world's attention.”

"We know that if we can persuade them to work with us, at least on the humanitarian issue, they will have access to Assad that hardly anybody else does have, at least nobody in the West," she said.

Syria has been the scene of continuous anti-government protests for nearly a year. According to the United Nations, more than 7,500 people have died in the unrest.

Last week Clinton attended the “Friends of Syria” conference in Tunisia. The conference participants issued a declaration calling on Damascus to end violence immediately and to endorse the main opposition umbrella group, the Syrian National Council (SNC), as a "credible" voice of opposition.

Delegates from more than 70 countries also called on President Assad to allow humanitarian access and vowed to step up sanctions against the regime.

Russia and China refused to attend the meeting, sparking an angry reaction from the United States.

Enough of this frustrating hypocrisy of yours! Your selective concerns with humanitarian issues are limited to countries in which USA seeks regime change for economic and geopolitical reasons. Somehow, you are silent on civilian casualties caused by the US Army.

If you want the violence in Syria to end, pull back your NGOs and your mercenaries. Stop arming, financing and supporting criminal, armed rebels abroad while you are arresting and dispersing peaceful "Occupy" protesters at home. Stop provoking religious conflicts. Stop inciting social unrest in order to destabilize targeted countries.

Take action to defend protesters in Bahrain. Stop defending Israeli war crimes, crimes against peace, and crimes against humanity. Take action to force Israel to comply with over 60 UN resolutions pertaining to the occupation of Palestinian Territories. Force Israel to comply with international law, especially with the IV Geneva Convention which outlaws transfer of civilian population into occupied territories in order to annex them – (the settlements question).

Investigate 9/11 as a pretext to circumvent international law and start wars of conquest, more appropriately called the oil wars. Investigate the Downing Street Memo incident. Investigate Al-Qaeda and the “war on terror” as entities serving the American and NATO policy goals.

Unless you are consistent, nobody will take your concerns seriously. Most people around the world can see through your games. They are very troubling. You are the last country to go around and lecture others on honesty and humanitarian issues. Go home and mind your own business!

It must indeed be "frustrating" for the US regime not to be able to infiltrate enough terrorists into Syria and arm them so that they could topple the legal Government led by President Assad. As Russia and China vetoed twice the cynical attempts of the US regime and its NATO allies in the UNSC to "introduce no-fly zones" and to establish "corridors for humanitarian aid" in Syria -both as cover-ups for the supply of arms and pretexts for a NATO military intervention with the purpose of "regime change", they are now "frustrated".The US is really the centre of evil in the world! If the US regime wants to stop the bloodshed they should stop infiltrating terrorists, arming and training them and providing communication support aswell as military intelligence.Unlike Lybia,Syria will become a big defeat for the perfidious US war mongering criminals.Fkcu the US and its zionist allies!
