MOSCOW, February 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will launch a Proton-M carrier rocket with the U.S. AMC-14 satellite March 15 from the Baikonur space center it leases from Kazakhstan, a space agency spokesman said Thursday.
"The foreign-made communications satellite is due to be delivered to the space center on February 15," the source said.
Designed and made by U.S.-based Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, the satellite is expected to cover the entire North American continent. It has a service life of 15 years.
