A Soyuz-TMA-16 space capsule carrying two astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) is scheduled to land in central Kazakhstan on March 18, Russian Mission Control said on Wednesday.

The undocking of the Soyuz TMA-16 from the ISS is scheduled for 11:03 Moscow time [08:03 GMT].

"At the present moment, the work of Expedition 22 at the ISS is coming to an end. Russian Maxim Surayev and American Jeff Williams are preparing for their return to Earth on board the Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft, in which they came to the station six months ago," the statement said.

Work in orbit will continue with Russian Oleg Kotov, Japanese Soichi Noguchi and American Timothy Creamer, until they are joined by Russians Alexander Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko, as well as American Tracy Caldwell, who are scheduled to launch to the ISS on a Soyuz TMA-18 spacecraft on April 2.
